February 2nd is the feast of the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple. Another title for the feast is Candlemas. Also, it is the World Day for Consecrated Life.
We pray that the peace and joy of the Christ Child will fill your heart this Christmas season. God the Father entrusted His greatest gift to the Virgin Mary and St. Joseph so as to bring Him to the whole world. Love entered our world and changed it forever.
We pray that this Christmas greeting finds you and your family well. It is our privilege and joy to enfold you in our daily prayer for all of your needs and intentions and also for your loved ones.
As a Christmas gift of prayer, we have arranged to have a Novena of nine daily masses offered for you and your loved ones and an additional Novena of masses offered for your dear deceased.
We now have two transfer nuns, Sr. Mary Paul and Sr. Mary Angela, with us from the Poor Clare Monastery of Tanzania. They are joyful and holy sisters that are a blessing to our community. Thanks be to God, the rest of us are doing well. Also, we have a postulant, Juliana, who has been accepted to receive the habit and become a novice in January. Also, other women have come to discern their vocation with us. God is indeed blessing us!
May the Lord bless you and your families in all that you do. Most of all may you grow in a closer relationship with the Lord in the coming year. We look forward to hearing from you and about your family. Through this letter, may we thank you in advance for your Christmas correspondence. We appreciate your understanding.
The Virgin Mary told the three children of Fatima, Portugal, to pray the rosary daily for the conversion of sinners and for peace in the world. She also asked that the following prayer be said after each decade of the rosary.
Oh My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy.
