On February 2nd, the Church celebrates the feast of the Presentation of the Lord which occurs forty days after the birth of Jesus.  It is also known as Candlemas day, since the blessing and procession of candles is included in today’s liturgy.

Also, on this day the Church celebrates the World Day for Consecrated Life.

We recently welcomed an aspirant, Juliana, to our community who has never seen snow.  As part of the welcome, one of the sisters put on a little skit by playing the role of Hildegard.  It brought much joy to all and a true Franciscan welcome to Juliana.

Our choir director, Jim, brought his family to sing some seasonal hymns for us at the entrance of our guest chapel.
